Open wounds and battle scars

We rarely read the work of someone going through a tough time. Instead, we read the lessons they learned after they happen.

It makes sense. When someone comes to us with their problems, we try to solve them. We offer solutions. The best solutions are those we already have. The ones we find when we search deeply inside ourselves.

If someone isn’t sharing their journey it does not mean they aren’t riding their own rollercoaster. They are healing their wounds and aiming to come back stronger.

The strongest people know that in the end it all works out. They look forward to the lessons being revealed and they share what they learned after, not during.

Battle scars, not open wounds.
