Change doesn't have to be loud.

When you're pursuing a project or idea, the first thought many have is usually "how can I make change happen as quickly as possible." Usually, the solution is a lot of advertising dollars and waves made. There's nothing wrong with that, of course - it's just noisy.

I've always preferred the more subtle approach. Take general, slower-paced steps toward your end goal and turn heads as you go. Make people nod in agreement instead of spinning around in surprise.

Instead of yelling through a megaphone, you make subtle suggestions.

This strategy gives you much time to learn what works precisely right. You can gather honest feedback at a pace you can properly process it and adjust your "pitch" as you move upward. Just as before, it'll still spread slowly and organically. As you keep making small amounts of influence, more people will take notice. They'll notice because those they know and trust are taking note, and so are those they know, too. No screaming necessary.

Let your value speak more naturally. The world is much too loud.
