Positivity

Confronted with setbacks, unenjoyable situations, or simply bad luck, it’s natural to look at the downsides.

Our brain is hard-wired to notice the risks and dangers around us 🦁 and it's served us well.

Now though, with bad news at our fingertips, our brains can become plagued with negative thoughts - far outweighing the benefits this information has on our health and well-being.

Fortunately, just like our immune systems, we can prime our brains to fend off negativity when it knocks.

The same way you would eat nutritious food, exercise, get enough sleep and sun exposure, feeding your brain with positivity helps keep negativity out.

It does't happen overnight but just like the body, the mind responds to regular healthy inputs by becoming calmer, clearer, and more at ease with the world.

{The practice I shared in my post on True Productivity is like a nutritious meal, exercise regime, and revitalising rest rolled up in one😉}

If you're already practising the 5MJs and you're looking for a boost, give As a Man Thinketh a try.

Here's a quote from the book to get you started,

"Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long and patient effort in self-control. Its presence is an indication of ripened experience, and of a more than ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought."
