Nutritional Supplements

If you’re not taking any sort of nutritional supplement, there’s a good chance you’re missing out on better health.

I started early with my dad and grandad feeding me cod liver oil. It was straight out the bottle and tasted disgusting, but they convinced me it would make me smarter so I took it.

Today I take an almost embarrassing concoction in the morning.

I’ve been tweaking it for years, and it’s still not perfect but here it is:

  • Green powder - there are tons of options but I like this one the most. If you’re going to try anything, try this. It’ll make you feel like super(wo)man 💪
  • Mushroom power - Lions Maine for mental focus, Reishi for Immune health. Good summary here.
  • Omega 3 fish oil - I went from the oil to capsules, but I’m now back at the oil (lemon flavour). Much stronger. I’ve experimented stopping taking fish oil and I get noticeably dumber whenever I do. All the benefits here.
  • Magnesium - I take this at night too. Alongside a ton of other health benefits, it helps your body absorb all the other supplements so a no brainier.
  • Ashwagandha - this is called an adaptogenic herb, so it gives your body what it needs. I’m a Pita Dosha so it cools me down, both physically and mentally.
  • Saw Palmetto - this one for the boys. Balances testosterone, promotes prostate health, and even hair growth.
  • Turmeric - anti-inflammatory. Great for joints, anyone who gets headaches, and good for liver detoxing too.
  • Cacao - too many reasons to note. Check em all out here.
  • Vitamin C - great for absorption again, plus gives your immune system an extra bit of pep.

That’s pretty much it, but I experiment with others now and then (like this one). I usually whack it all in a pint glass then use a little whisk to mix it up.

As long as you put a good dose of cacao in, it usually tastes like chocolate 😋

I’m not advocating you put them altogether like this straight away, but if you start with the green powder you can play about as you like.

Oh and remember, always buy organic!
