BeeHive 0.1 : Camp gears.

BeeHive is a codename for the ultimate old age house for my wife and me to live and die at. In our imaginary world, it is a decent little cottage up in the mountain, a misty garden and a quiet night. We are not there yet, and not even working hard towards it.

We do, however, take baby steps towards it. The first step is a set of camping gear:

Tent, rain tarp, tent-base mat, chairs, table, Moka pot, strove, lamps, folding container, pillows, etc. Everything totalled under RM 500.00.

Sleeping bags, windbreakers and other miscellaneous tools are from our past life, so, it doesn't count toward the cost (else it would be costly, those are high-quality stuff).

It took us a few days to finally go out there and spend a night in the wild. The rains are pretty relentless recently in Kota Kinabalu last week. That day was a cloudy one, we took a gamble and drive up the hill regardlessly. Luck was with us as we got an awesome sunset view and a breezy evening.

The sun is setting down behind the South China Sea, KK city is right in front. Mount Kinabalu is right behind this photo in a violet hue.

This campsite is called Kokol Mama Hill. I suspect it is the highest hilltop in the Kota Kinabalu area as I have a 360-degree view up here. But even the friendly owner has no idea. Well~

At night, the mist caught up as we finished our hotpot dinner and prepared coffee:

It was a quiet night with light rain. (I think?)

BeeHive 0.1. A camp on the hill. Not bad for a humble start huh?
