I felt this blog post deeply - https://lethain.com/frameworks-decision-making/, as I often find myself making that internal calculation around where I am choosing to direct my energies and how well aligned my current pointer of attention is to company needs.
As a manager I have been trying harder over the last few years to listen more, and not only to listen to what folk are saying, but how they are saying it, and how what they are talking about connects in with the other threads of activity that I am exposed to in my own role.
I've started asking folk about what kind of work gives them satisfaction, and now this post is just a great reminder that I should be asking that question even more.
