Stretching the Meaning of “Weekly”

Lots of things have kept me busy—while I was (and still am) occupied with my Ludotronics book release, another comp copy arrived: my book contribution “Shared Realities, Solitary Actions: Media Languages as Agents of Formation, Reinforcement, and Change” in the anthology Narratives Crossing Boundaries: Storytelling in a Transmedia and Transdisciplinary Context, edited by Joachim Friedman. Check it out! As it’s published under a Creative Commons license, you can either buy it as a great addition to your bookshelf, or download the digital version for free! Beyond that, the winter term has started; I got my fifth Corona shot and my annual flu shot; and I attended the Gaming Days Festival and the DJW’s Meet the Network event, both of which were terrific. If you want to catch up with me for whatever reason, I’ll be attending the gamedevs.nrw Afterwork Meetup coming Thursday at the Wacom Experience Center in Duesseldorf. Looking forward to it!

My temporary moratorium on new photo albums is still in effect. Partly because of those book releases mentioned; partly because I’m absorbed with developmental editing for the first half of my second Voidpunk novel; partly because my scanner broke down and needs fixing (if that’s an option, I haven’t checked yet). While I kept my Instagram account betweendrafts busy, most of these posts are concert, opera, or movie short reviews. (There are some new pulp media posts at voidpunkverse, too.) However, you might still enjoy my daily vintage-style travel squaries at Pixelfed!

No recommendations nor Sunday funnies this week. I’m still trying to digest what’s happening in the world, on which I might touch upon next week.
