You ever had Imposter Syndrome?

Even though I’ve had great experiences producing commercials and worked on a really amazing movie (more to come!), there are times when I’m about to dive into a new project and I have that worrying feeling that I won’t be able to deliver.

I have a moment where I say to myself:

Wow what am I getting myself into?

No matter how qualified others may feel you are, you almost feel like they’re going to find out you have no idea what you're doing.

A funny thing happens though, I realize I need to take a step back and just write down exactly what I should be working on, and then focus on one thing at a time. As the project takes shape, things slowly but surely begin to get done and then you feel like ok, maybe I do know what the hell I'm doing!

I feel like I’ll always live with a certain amount of imposter syndrome but I'll continue to remember to take a step back, breathe, and focus on what's right in front of me.

Have you had imposter syndrome before? If so, how did you deal with it?
